ESFA Trophy (U14) Round 1

Central Lancaster High School 4
Vs
Moorland School 7

Moorland’s U14s claimed a fine win in sunny Lancaster via a swashbuckling display to progress to the next round of the ESFA Trophy. Despite facing a tricky away fixture, Moorland turned on the class to run out worthy winners in the end. Following the game, Coach Jackson mused: “This was not an easy game up here, yet we have progressed in some style and I am so proud of them all.”

England, who made light work of their Georgian counterparts in a match played in Denmark, were keen to blood young star Wharton in this UEFA U19 qualifier. Once again, we are all so proud of Adam whilst being unsurprised at his meteoric rise!
STOP THE PRESS….. It was also a fantastic weekend for another former Moorland star, namely George Chmiel! Chmiel started and starred for Poland U19’s in their 2-0 win over Estonia in the same UEFA U19 qualifiers.
