Supporting the School
With being a very young charity indeed, Moorland school does not have a significant endowment to assist with the funding of major capital projects or for the provision of Scholarships and Bursaries. The International Football Elite Programme of Moorland School is different from most other independent schools as it provides artistic specialist education with talent and artistic potential being the only criteria for entry. The School is responsible for not only educating but also training the next generation of sportsmen and women. It is absolutely essential that the School invests in improving its facilities and providing greater support for students for it to maintain its competitive edge and reputation for exceptional vocational training.
School fees are very carefully directed and managed to fund academic and vocational tuition and resources associated with specialist boarding facilities. The priority that is given to these areas means that the cost of special projects, new buildings and increased student support cannot be funded out of surpluses alone.
Fundraising has become a fundamental part of Moorland School’s Development Plan to ensure the School attracts the best pupils and is able to retain those pupils and complete high-priority capital projects sooner to benefit current pupils rather than later in the future. These dual fundraising goals represent a huge challenge and are together the focus for our campaign. Your support and generosity will allow us to move forward and maintain our position as one of the leading specialist Sport Schools in the United Kingdom.
